WE-GO Community Service

Our Next Community Service Event is Food Packaging with
Rise Against Hunger scheduled for March 16, 2023.

Rise Against Hunger (RAH), founded in 1998, is an organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in populations in crises, both at home and internationally.  This organization is uniquely structured to engage community participation from service clubs and volunteer groups.

30-40 volunteers gather at a designated community facility to package the dry food ingredients which are provided by RAH.  Volunteer groups pay for the supplies, but RAH  brings them to the venue, along with a trainer to orchestrate the event.

On Thursday, March 16, from 6-9pm, volunteers will gather at Westminster Presbyterian Church , 10 W Pleasant Grove Rd and rt 202, south of West Chester.

Westtown Goshen Rotary will partner with Boy Scout troop 93 to provide the required volunteer force.  Five or six adult volunteers will be needed  at 4:30 to help unload the supply truck and complete final set up.  A snack table for the volunteers will be provided from 5:30 on (or as long as the snacks last!)

If your interested in participating, contact John Spellman <>.

Consider joining and becoming a Rotarian.

WEGO Rotary is a service organization where Service Above Self is not just our motto, it is how we think and act. Community Service provides opportunities for Rotarians and their families to engage in the community in a meaningful way. Service opportunities vary year to year, all however are designed to provide options for Rotarians to give back individually and collectively.  If you or your organization have a service opportunity and seek our assistance, contact our Club President or email at
